Kassandreia (and Kassandreia) is a town and seat of the Municipality of Kassandra in the prefecture of Halkidiki. It is at the same time the economic, spiritual and cultural center of the region. Its population is 2,801 people as of 2001.

Among others there are health centers, police, post office, OTE, banks, 2 primary schools, 2 kindergartens, gymnasium and 2 high schools (one of which is TEE).

Residents are involved in agriculture, commerce and tourism. There is also the Halkidiki Tourism Development Group.

There is also the Kypsa wetland in the area.
