AGIA PARASKEVI
ΑΓΙΑ ΠΑΡΑΣΚΕΥΗ
Agia Paraskevi is a village in the prefecture of Halkidiki. It is administratively owned by the Municipality of Kassandra in the Region of Central Macedonia (Kallikratis program). [1]
From 1999 to 2010, according to the then administrative division of Greece, it was the seat of the homonymous municipal district of the Municipality of Pallini.
According to the 2011 census, its population is 294 people [2]. The inhabitants mainly deal with beekeeping and olive farming.
Its location is in the inland of Kassandra [3] and is surrounded by pine forest. There are traditional houses built of stone in the village.
They operate inter alia, a rural practice, KAPI, kindergarten and elementary school. The latter is called Elementary School of Paliouri / Ag. Friday. The main church is on the outskirts of the village and this settlement owes its name to it. In the village there is a cultural association called “Chalkidis”.
